Here's what you'll need :-

A Valid Fishing Licence for Non-Migratory Trout & Coarse Fish Available HERE

Suitable Clothing, including stout foot ware (no waders), hat and eye protection (sunglasses are ideal)

Food and drink for the day. There is a microwave and kettle for your use.

We have a Lodge, so you can sit in comfort.

Fly Fishing gear (if you have any)

Do not worry, we will lend you all the gear you'll need, if you don't have any.

About Us - Suffolk Fly Fisher's Club

The objective of the club is to encourage the sport of Fly Fishing for Trout, to provide safe and comfortable fishing within the natural constraints of the premises and to promote further social interaction amongst its members.

We stock our lake with Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout

Subscriptions cover the running costs of the club only. The Management of the club is run by the Committee who are all volunteers. All physical work is also carried out by volunteers. In exceptional circumstances contractors may be employed to carry out tasks beyond the capability of Club Members.

The Committee aim to hold sufficient capital funds to protect against natural events that could jeopardise the future of the club.

Help is available to improve your skills at all levels. We never charge anything for assistance or instruction.

Fishing is with Fly Only, in a 30 acre lake.

The water and grounds are for the enjoyment and benefit of Club Members Only.

Members may bring a limited number of paying Guests. Payment is to cover the potential cost of fish.

We do not issue issue Day Tickets.

If you are an experienced fly fisher and think Club Membership might suit you and would like to have a free try on our water please contact us.

If you have never fly fished and think Club Membership could get you up and running, you can have a Free Day with us with instruction and have the chance to catch a fish too. Please contact us.

About Our Lake and Surroundings

The lake and surroundings are designated as SSSI and are Ramsar protected. We constitute part of Stour and Orwell Estuaries site. We work closely with Natural England to ensure complience is met and that wildlife is protected.
